NwaJesus Anthony Onyekuru is a Professof Resource and Environmental Economics of the Department of Agricultural Economics and a Research Fellow ọf the Resource and Environmental Policy Research Centre, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, EfD Nigeria. He holds a National Diploma in Agricultural Technology, from Michael Okpara College of Agriculture, Umuagwo, Imo State, Nigeria. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics (First Class) and an M.Sc in Resource and Environmental Economics, both from the University of Nigeria. He is currently doing a Ph.D in Resource and Environmental Economics in the University of Nigeria, , under thẹ Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. He has good skills in climate change impact and adaptation modeling, feasibility study/analysis, project appraisal, monitoring and evaluation, impact assessments and rural development studies. Particularly he has worked extensively on the impact of climate change and adaptation strategies across Nigeria. He has modeled the Economic impacts of climate change on forest resource use in Nigeria using the Ricardian model and several other related studies. The key focus of his research is on the nexus of resource/environmental degradation, climate change, policy and sustainable livelihood.
