Kennedy Chinedu Okafor, Ph.D, Fellow ASI, Fellow AAIMLON,Senior Member IEEE, Coren.Reg

Kennedy Chinedu Okafor is a UK-based Senior Principal Investigator, Research Professor, and Technology adviser on digital ecosystems. He holds a Ph.D. in Cloud Computing and Networked Robotics and was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Best Ph.D. candidate in 2017 from the Faculty of Engineering, UNN. Kennedy held a PostDoc in Mechatronics Engineering and data governance at Imperial College Business School, UK. His career began as a Senior Research Engineer at NASENI, followed by a Senior Faculty role in Mechatronics Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Owerri. Since 2022, he has led major R&D projects at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK; University of Johannesburg, South Africa; and the University of Chichester, UK. Kennedy holds several industry certifications in AWS, CCNA, CCNP®, and IBM Cloud, among others. He has authored over 150 publications with 1,000+ citations and has reviewed 400+ papers, serving on reputable editorial boards globally. He has secured significant research funding for several projects and has worked on the UK Natural Capital Asset project, (£1.8 trillion) and the UK Woodland project (£382 billion). He currently serves as Chair of IEEE Skillup Hub, Region 8 (Africa, Middle East, and Europe), UK Technology Adviser, and Trustee, Association of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning of Nigeria (AAIMLON). He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of the African Scientific Institute, USA.
