Engr. Uche. C. Ogbuefi holds a PhD, in Electrical Power Systems from University of Nigeria, M.Eng in Electrical Engineering from River State University of Science and Technology Port-Harcourt, B.Eng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from University of Port Harcourt.. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Engineering from RUST PH, Nigeria. She worked with many companies before she joined the academic world as a Lecture in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Nigeria Nsukka. She is Head of Program for Power Engineering in Africa Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Power and Energy Development (ACE-SPED) UNN. She is the Vice Chairman of NSE Nsukka branch and APWEN gender inclusive. She is a corporate member of the Nigeria Society of Engineer (NSE), a COREN registered Engineer and also a member of Association of Professional Women in Engineering (APWEN). Member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG). She has over 40 articles published in both local and international journals and conference proceedings. She has also authored and co-authored some book chapters. Her research interest include Electric Power Systems and Control; Optimization; Fault Analysis; Renewable Energy Sources, Technology and Integration; automation. Her hobbies include: Reading, Sports, Listening to Classical Music and Traveling. She is one of the trained C-code experts in the institution, (i.e. Centre for Competency in Digital Education). She is also a team member in student mentorship, training empowerment with particular attention to female gender.
