The current cost of living is impacting on everyone especially with the removal of fuel subsidy which has currently doubled price of every commodity ranging from accommodation cost to transportation and most importantly to groceries. Students are not left out in this crisis.
To better understand how best we can support our students through these challenges posed by increasing cost of living, a poll was conducted in June 2023 with our students.
From their response, we discovered the following:
- Food and living cost: 65% of the students that responded to the survey agreed that food and living cost is the most urgent with accommodation cost and grocery cost on the rise everyday.
- Cost of transportation: With majority of our students living outside the school environment, transportation cost, they believed also requires urgent attention.
- Technology costs to support students’ studies, such as data, laptops are all on the increase.
Our main goal is create an enabling environment where great minds can be harnessed and transformed. ACE-SPED has been able to put up some packages that can help students through the living crisis occassioned by the economic realities within the country.

Subsidized lunch package for all students which can be accessed from the canteen within the main building.

Partnering with UNN cab to subsidize commuting charge for all the students.

Free WI-FI withing the school vicinity.
